(November 13, 1938 - May 14, 2020) Beloved husband of Linda L. Tilghman nee Kuhn; Proud dad of G. Christopher Tilghman, Laura E. Berry nee Tilghman (Tim), Erin Marie Maguire nee Tilghman (John); Devoted Pop-Pop of Anna, Emily, Sam, Madeline, Kate and Quinn and Uncle of five. George was received by his Savior Jesus Christ, and reunited with his loving parents George W. Tilghman, Sr. and Sarah Jeanette Tilghman nee Sterling, sister Jane Stevens, her husband Robert Stevens Sr. and his nephew, Robert Stevens, Jr.. A native to the Eastern Shore, George later moved to the Baltimore area where he met and married his wife, Linda. George dedicated his career to the HVAC industry and worked for Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning, Trane, Lyon Conklin and Ferguson where in each company, he was well respected for his expertise in marketing and sales. In addition to his family, he leaves a void to those who admired him, called him friend, “Spuddy”, and valued his passion for fishing, golf, cars, all things football as well as the importance of serving God. Over his lifetime, Spuddy, was well-known and loved for his contagious laughter, gregarious nature and zest for life.
Small in stature, George was large in character, faith and love for the Lord, his family, his church and friends as well as his country, which will be his true legacy.
