Obituary of Inez Bright

We bid farewell to Inez Brown Bright, “Mother Bright”, as she was affectionally called, a true servant of the Most High God, who was born the ninth of nine children to the late Maude and Lawyer Brown in Unadilla, Georgia on June 1, 1935. She completed her earthly journey on December 29, 2019. Inez, moved to Salisbury, Maryland at a young age, and completed her formal education in Wicomico County. She met and married the late Arthur “Dad” Bright, Sr. in 1956. From their union, she was blessed with four wonderful children. Inez was employed at the former Campbell Soup Company for 38 years. After retiring from Campbell Soup, she assisted her church full-time in the mission field. Inez loved her church and church family, she served faithfully at Family Worship Center Church of God Truth Ministries (formerly known as Family Worship Center) for over 40 years under the leadership of Bishop Jesse E.C. Abbott and Pastor Bobby Weston. Inez was a faithful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a good friend to many. Her laughter and gentle ways will remain in our hearts forever. She leaves to cherish fond memories: four children: Jerome J. Bright, Sr. (Roberta) of Salisbury; Linda Bright of Wilmington, Delaware; Arthur Bright, Jr. of Baltimore; and Dr. Marvin Bright (Loraine) of Bel Air, Maryland; one step-daughter, Deborah Parker of Snow Hill, Maryland; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Brown of Salisbury; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bright, Sr.; four brothers, Joe, Bonnie, Elois, and Thomas Brown; and four sisters, Wilene Quitman, Ocie Gates, Laverne Briddell, and Alma Hayes.
