Obituary of Robert Luke Suttmiller

Robert Luke Suttmiller, 79, of Hebron, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Suttmiller and Mary Grace Kabler Suttmiller.

Robert retired in 1999 from Montgomery Wards in management after 35 years.  He was a member of the Catholic Church his entire life, belonging to the Knights of Columbus, and achieving the recognition of a 4th Degree Knight.  Robert’s hobbies and interests included first and foremost his Friends and Family, spending much time enjoying the Beach, Sun and Sand! 

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rose Marie Costanzo Suttmiller; 4 children, Karen Seekford, Robert Suttmiller, Kathleen Brenton and Kristine Currie; 10 grandchildren, Kim Suttmiller, Brianna Villa, Jeremy Brenton, Kaitlyn Seekford, Karlie Brenton, Megan Suttmiller, James Suttmiller, Tyler Currie, Emily Currie, and Ryan Currie, 1 great grandchild, Emma Garner; and a brother, Jerry Suttmiller.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Suttmiller, and a sister, Mary Loretta Hritz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, with a visitation two hours prior to the service at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Hebron Volunteer Fire Dept., 200 S. Main Street, Hebron, MD 21830.
