Obituary of Estel Holland
Estel Holland, 89, of Parsonsburg died on Friday, August 2, 2019 peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Greenbackville, VA he was the son of the late Charles and Ella Holland.
Mr. Holland was a car salesman and author of his story about growing up in Girdletree, MD. He put others first through his witness and support. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and Grace United Methodist Church, both of Salisbury.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Holland; daughters, Kathy Hanekamp of Mechanicsburg, PA and Karen Wootten of Snow Hill, MD; stepchildren, Bob Shockley of Poca, WV and Tracey Terry of Lake City, FL; three grandchildren, Bradley Gray, Letha Shockley, and Bobbie Shockley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Holland, Paul Holland, and Betty Stant.
A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, MD. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Jay Hurley and Rev. Harry Weir. Interment will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Girdletree.
