Obituary of Dinah Lee Neal

Dinah “Peachy” Lee Neal, 73, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at her home.   Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late  Charles Leroy Hinman and JoAnna Wilson Hinman.

Her employment career began as a Department Supervisor at Manhatten Shirt Factory, then as a bookkeeper at Branch Electric. She was then manager at Shaw Warehouse, and finally retiring as a bookkeeper with the Salisbury Elks Lodge. Her memberships included Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.   Although she spent most of her time working or with family she also loved making ceramics, fishing, cooking, playing social media games, and spending time with her Friday lunch lady friends.  During her wonderful life “Peachy” dedicated her time to always taking care of her family. From caring for the elderly members to helping raising her grandkids, there wasn't a time she was not available to help her family.  “Peachy” and her loving husband “Butch” spent 56 years of marriage together building a family, caring for each other, and teaching everyone around them, that hard work, and true love is all you need to make it in today's world.

Dinah is survived by her two sons, David Norris Neal (Jody) of Salisbury, and Timothy Albert Neal of Sacramento, CA; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Vogeler, Derek Neal, Christopher Allen, Jason Allen and Jared Allen; four great grandchildren, Dallas and Nolan Vogeler, and Caiden and Mason Allen; three sisters, Beverly Carnes (Bob) of Savannah, GA, Becky Seaback (Greg) of Tomball, TX, and JoLynn Vincent of Centreville, VA; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Vincent L. Neal, Jr in 2017; and six brothers, Jackie Hinman, William Hinman, Charles W. Hinman, Jerry Hinman, Tommy Hinman, and Richard Hinman.
