Obituary of Leon McClymont
Leon William McClymont, Sr., 97, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at
the Salisbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Arthur McClymont and Sara Guild McClymont Corney.
He worked as a supervisor for over 40 years, retiring in 1987 from Rombro Brothers Clothing Factory in Baltimore. He was a member of Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene. He was a former member of the Marley Park Church of the Nazarene where he often volunteered his maintenance skills. He enjoyed reading, walking at the Centre of Salisbury, and especially attending church with his many friends.
Leon is survived by three children, Leon "Lee" William McClymont, Jr. & his wife, Donna of Simpsonville, SC, Gerald "Jerry" L. McClymont, Sr. & his wife, Gail of Salisbury, and Anita L. Hulsizer & her husband, Rev. John Hulsizer of Dubuque, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, Steven, John, Jr., Ann Marie, Jerry, Jr, Scot, Dawn, Laurie, Leon, III, and Krystal; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois Kuhn of Baltimore and Mildred Baker of FL; and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Casteel McClymont; a brother, Royal Corney; and 3 sisters, Marie Housmen, Helen Roberta, and Anita Hamens.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be a grandson, Rev. Scot McClymont and Rev. Joel Beiler. Interment will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.
