Obituary of Betty Jean Webster
Betty Jean Elliott Webster, 77, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Elliott and Mary Emily Adkins Elliott.
Betty was a member of Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene. She and her late husband provided religious services at the Anchorage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury for 34 years until his passing. She retired from the Junior Board at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in 2010 after 55 years.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Ruth Carter of Orlando, FL; a brother, George “Tommy” Thomas Elliott and his wife, Nancy of Salisbury; and 6 step-children and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Bennie Warren Webster, Jr. and a sister, Mary Jane Elliott.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at Holloway Funeral Home at 2:00pm with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock. Rev. Joel Beiler, assisted by Rev. Ronald McLeod will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene, 27765 Nanticoke Road, Salisbury, MD 21801.
