Obituary of Clara Bisker

Clara Virginia Bradley Bisker, 99 of Salisbury, died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Lakeside Assisted Living under hospice care.  Born near Finchville, Dorchester County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Severn Bradley and Martha Nagel Bradley and the widow of J. Gordon Bisker who died in 1999.

Clara was retired from the Breyers/Sealtest facility in Salisbury and then spent a few years working for MC Horsey before retiring full time.  She was one of the founding members of the Town and County Homemakers.  She enjoyed reading, doing her counted cross stitch and gardening.  In her later years she got up most mornings and went for a 1-2 mile walk before breakfast.  She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church and worked at the Opportunity Shop until she was 97.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.  She was always asking what her great-grandchildren were doing.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard G. & Carol Bisker of Salisbury; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bisker of Franktown, VA; three grandchildren: Christy Briggs and her husband, Brian, Scott Bisker and his wife, Dana all of Salisbury and Kelsey Bisker of Franktown, VA; four great-grandchildren: Hannah and Josh Briggs and Alex and Emma Bisker; a brother, Donald Bradley; a sister, Shirley Sonnier both of Salisbury and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Bisker in 2010 and five brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Lakeside Assisted Living and Coastal Hospice for taking such good care of her during her stay with them.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Benita Harris and Rev. William Sterling will officiate.

Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.  Please visit www.hollowayfh.com to express condolences to the family.
