Obituary of Tisha Riley

Tisha Leigh Riley, 53, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 peacefully at her home.  Born on September 2, 1964 in Salisbury, MD, she was the daughter of  Thomas Lee Phippin and the late Joyce Anne Webster Phippin.

Tisha attended schools in Pocomoke City and Parkside High School. She was employed as an EMT for Hart to Heart  and later Lifestar. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Bristol, as well as her companion dog, Katie. Tisha enjoyed dancing, attending truck pulls, farming, and watching her son's compete in dirt track racing. She will most be remembered for her smiling face and constant conversation and no one was a stranger to her. 

Tisha is survived by her husband Robert Riley Jr. of Newark, three sons, Jeffrey Chandler Jr. and his wife Anne of Willards, Robert "Robbie" Riley III and his wife Karen of Gumboro, and Justin Riley and his wife Jacqueline of Newark; two grandchildren, Shawn Warren and Bristol Riley; her father Thomas Lee Phippin and his wife Grace of Berlin, a brother, Christopher Phippin and his wife Brianne of Berlin; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her mother, Tisha is preceded in death by her sister Vanessa "Nessie" Anne Phippin Griffin and a niece, Jennifer "Jenny" Griffin. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 3 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, MD. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Bowen Methodist Church Cemetery in Newark, MD.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in Tisha's honor to the American Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
