Michael Walter Wreden, 78, of Salisbury, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on November 6, 1939 in San Luis Obispo, CA, he was the son of the late Walter and Jeannette Pate Wreden.
Michael was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was also a hardworking, honest, loving and devoted family man. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Master Sgt. with 20 years of service. He then went to work for Chevron Oil Refinery and retired following 20 years of service with them. Still wishing to remain active, he joined Maryland Environmental Services and continued to work for another 15 plus years as their Senior Wastewater Operator.
Mr. Wreden is survived by his two daughters, Cynthia L. Conway and her significant other Michael Hudson of Salisbury, MD and Laura Grove and her husband Tink Grove of Laurel, DE; two daughters of the heart, Erica Hickerson and Julia Koermer; fifteen grandchildren, Brandon, Tabatha, Corey, Bruce, Ashley, Whitley, David, Jr., Darion, Joshua, Faith, Marqui, Ethan, Dalonte, Ka'mya and Landon; and three great-grandchildren, Bria, Mack and Ryder. He will also be missed by all those he looked at as family.
In addition to his father and mother, Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Janet G, Wreden.
At his request family services will be held at a later date in the Eastern Shore of Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
