Obituary of Ruby Mason

Ruby Drucilla Mason, 85, of Pocomoke City, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on February 26, 1933 in Pocomoke City, MD, she was a daughter of the late Reuben W. and Drucilla Addison Tull.

She was an active member of the Pittsville United Methodist in Miona, VA, who enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, shopping with her sister, spending time with her family, her weekly bingo games at the Pocomoke McDonalds and gathering with her classmates once a month. Her highlight in traveling was a trip to Hawaii in 2014 with her daughter Harriet and Dean Ennis.

Following her graduation from high school she attended Salisbury University prior to getting married and starting her family.

Mrs. Mason is survived by one son, David Neil Mason, Jr. and his wife Paula of Princess Anne; three daughters, Harriet Mason Ennis and her husband Dean of Pocomoke City, MD, Josephine V. Bowden and her husband Norman of Seymour, MO and Jacqueline D. Lapp of Springfield, MO; one sister, Juanita Sacks and her husband Robert of Pocomoke City, MD; twenty grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David Neil Mason, Sr. and a brother, Ira Emory Tull.

Family and friends will gather at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5-7 PM and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Pittsville United Methodist Church, 4550 Holland Road, New Church, VA, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Maury Enright will officiate.  Interment will follow in Nelson's Cemetery, Marva Road, New Church, VA.
