Donald Frederick Rawlings, Jr. (Freddie AKA Granddad), 75, of George Island Landing, Stockton, MD passed away peacefully on March 24, 2018. Fred was born on October 14, 1942 in Annapolis, MD, the son of the late Donald Frederick Rawlings and Evelyn Marie Rawlings, and siblings the late Gary Rawlings and Sue Smith of Annapolis, MD. He was an Annapolitan his entire life, until he retired to George Island Landing, Stockton, MD in 2005. He was an avid hunter, trapper, lifetime waterman, and welder by trade he worked on projects such as the Bay Bridge, South River Bridge, and bridges throughout Maryland, later owner and operator of Rawlings & Rawlings Welding.
In addition to Jan Rawlings, his beloved wife of 54 years, Fred leaves behind two sons, Adam Frederick Rawlings of Edgewater, MD and Scott Eric Rawlings (Cathleen) of Annapolis, MD, and two daughter-in -laws Theresa Anne Rawlings of Stevensville, MD and Rebecca Lynn Fischer of Annapolis, MD, a niece, Nicole DeFlaux formerly of Wye Mills, MD, 7 grandchildren; Amanda, Christopher, Allen (Brittany), Eric, Cody, Allia, and Alexander. Hours prior to Fred's passing, he was blessed with the birth of his first great-grandchild, Marley Paige; as one life passes a new life is born.
