Obituary of John Eiker

John Franklin Eiker, 68, of Salisbury died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born on May 18, 1949 in Princeton, New Jersey he was the son of the late Franklin Earl Eiker and Bertha Skeba Eiker.

Mr. Eiker retired after 35 years of service for Matheson Tri Gas as a technician.  He was a member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Salisbury Elks Lodge where he served as Chaplin 10 years, and he was a member of the Salisbury Moose and Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Vivian S. Eiker; son, Franklin Earl Eiker; sister Rosalie Moffatt; niece Stephanie Moffatt; great nephew Brett Smith; great aunt Joan Eiker and several other family members and longtime friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8 from 6-8 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury at which time the Elks service will be held. The funeral service will be held at  Wicomico Presbyterian Church in Salisbury on Friday, March 9 at 4 pm preceded by a Masonic service.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in John’s honor to Coastal Hospice, the American Heart Association, or the Wicomico Presbyterian Church.
