Obituary of Charles Adams

Charles Russell Adams, 85, of Hebron, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 peacefully at his daughter’s home.  Born on April 3, 1932 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Adams, Sr. and Anna Adams Bright.


Charles graduated from Snow Hill High School. Upon his graduation, he entered the United States Army. Charles was employed as weigh master for Perdue Farms until his retirement after 32 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury for over 40 years, where he served as usher, watchman, and was a member of the Promise Keepers.


Charles is survived by his daughter, Christine Hatton and her husband Jeff of Hebron, MD; a grandson, John T. Williamson, Jr. of Laurel, DE; a step-grandson, Steven Jason Hatton and his wife Beth of Hebron, MD; and a step-granddaughter, Jessica A. Brown of Hebron, MD. 


In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Bobieanna Adams, who passed on September 2, 2013.


A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury with the Pastor Robert "Buzz" Gregory officiating.  Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
