Obituary of John Bohlen, III

John Edward Bohlen, III, 53, of Salisbury, died on Monday, January 22, 2018, peacefully at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Baltimore.  Born on February 23, 1964 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John E. Bohlen, Jr.

John graduated from Baltimore Lutheran High School. He was employed as a police officer for the Berlin Police Department, until his retirement in 1998. Upon his retirement, John owned and operated J & M Boating, a charter fishing business in Crisfield, with his boat the "Mary Claire".  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. John was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis and the Evergreen Masonic Lodge in Berlin.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Bohlen; daughter, M. Claire Bohlen; his mother, Nancy Bohlen; his step-mother, Mary J. Bohlen; sister, Nancy L. Bohlen; brothers Shawn Bohlen and his wife Michelle, Jason Bohlen, and his wife Shelley, Jeremy Bohlen and his fiancé Bobbi Zubrinitz; sister-in-law Roxanne Bohlen as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, John is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas J Bohlen.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Salisbury.  A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury.   Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury, MD at a later date.
