Obituary of Jason Bashor

Jason Craig Bashor, 34, of Pocomoke City, died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Munising, MI from injuries sustained in a snow mobile accident. Born on May 9, 1983 in Salisbury, MD, he was a son of Paul and Faye French Bashor and the husband of Katie Ruchalski Bashor all of Pocomoke City.

A graduate of Washington High School, he served in the Navy from 2002 until 2012 and was currently an Electrical Tech 3 working as a Senior Ground Validation Systems Technician for A.S.R.C. Fed. Space and Defense (AS&D) at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, VA and was on a travel assignment in Michigan.

Jason is survived his wife of 14 years, Katie Bashor; two children, Haylee and Lucas Bashor; parents, Paul and Faye Bashor; father-in-law Fran Ruchalski (Cindy Crawford), mother-in-law Clare Felmey (Bill Ulrich); grandmother Suzanne Spence (Arnold); sister, Shari Worth (David); brother Scott Bashor (Shannon); sisters-in-law Amy Perdue and Kristen Ruchalski; brother-in-law John Ruchalski (Amanda); aunts Nicki Bashor, Nene Bashor, Lois French, and Christy Carlile; uncle Richard Pickerell; ten nieces and nephews, Shayna, Robbie, Dylan, Kassidy, Jakob, Mischelle, Shane, Mason, Liam and Davis; and a large extended family.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William French; paternal grandmother, Mary Beatrice Bashor; one aunt Sandra Pickerell; three uncles, Richard French, William Bashor and Michael Bashor.

Jason enjoyed computer programming, learning anything and everything possible, playing with his kids, and just being at home with his wife.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where family and friends will gather two hours prior to the service. Rev. Bob Boyce will officiate. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery, 2240 Old Snow Hill Road, Pocomoke City, MD.
