Winston Franklin Outten, formerly of Pocomoke passed away January 9, 2018 at PRMC peacefully with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 9, 1941, south of Pocomoke, the youngest of eight children of the late Myrtle B. Outten and Chester J. Outten. He was a resident of Worcester Co. until 1997 when he moved to Salisbury.
He received his education in Worcester Co., volunteered in many civic organizations, played a huge part in the Little League baseball and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. He was a past poultry grower and farmer and owner of retail and rental properties. During his years in Worcester Co. he and his family attended Chincoteague Baptist Church in New Church, VA and would still periodically attend as it was deep in his heart.
He leaves the love of his life, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wife; Judith A. Tull Outten; three daughters, Teresa & Steve Loomis of Cape Charles, VA, Melissa & Jerry Timmons of Newark, MD and Colleen & Brian Leutner of Hebron, MD. He also leaves four grandchildren, Lindsey Blank & Josh Blank of Pittsville, MD, Rachel Blades & Andrew Blades of Salisbury, MD, Chelsea Selby & friend Jeremy Pell of Bethesda, MD and Zane Leutner of Hebron, MD; two step-grandchildren, Troy Timmons of Florida & Dawn Timmons of Baltimore, MD; three great-grandchildren, Noah and Avery Blank of Pittsville, MD and Jonah Blades of Salisbury, MD; two brothers, Orville Outten and his wife Esther and Ronald Outten and his wife Betty and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Outten & Mrs. Outten lost their only son, James “Frankie” Outten in 1989. He is also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Claude, Norris, Edward, Parcie and a sister, Essie Bell.
Mr. Outten wished to be cremated and to have a private burial for the immediate family.
