Lois S. Noonan

Lois Sterling Noonan, 89, of Fruitland, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, peacefully at Peninsula Regional Medical Center surrounded by her three children.  Born on March 5, 1928 in Crisfield, MD, she was the daughter of the late Groveman Travis and Evy Francis Sterling.

Lois attended schools in Crisfield. She was employed as a cafeteria worker for the P.R.M.C. in Salisbury, where she retired in 1987. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, embroidering and crocheting. Lois was a member of Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury.

Lois is survived by a son, George E. Noonan, III and his wife Rachel of Hebron and their son, George E. Noonan, IV and his wife Kellie and their two daughters, Ashley Wood and Aly Noonan and their daughter Amy Noonan and her children Lily Gibbons and Daisy Gibbons, two daughters, Lana S. Carlisle and her husband Harry of Salisbury and her daughter Michele Lane and her four sons Ian Shultz, Lane Shultz, Liam Shultz, and Angus Shultz and Lori J.  Campbell and her husband Kyle of San Antonio, TX and their daughter Kali Campbell and their son Colin Campbell as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George Edward Noonan, Jr., two brothers, Percy Sterling and Urie Sterling, and two sisters, Agnes Dunbar and Bernice Anderson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD.
