Otis "Lee" Davis, Jr., 85, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, peacefully at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury . Born on January 4, 1932 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of the late Otis Lee and Grace Leonard Davis.
Lee graduated from Wicomico High School, class of 1949. Upon his graduation, he entered the United States Airforce, where he was stationed in Wichita, Kansas and met his wife of 65 years, Phyllis. He was employed as an Electronic Tech for NASA Wallops Island, which gave him the opportunity to travel abroad until his retirement on November 30, 1990. Lee enjoyed golfing, bowling, and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed taking care of his cats. Most of all, Lee enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a former member of the Exchange Club, the Elks Lodge #817 in Salisbury and a past president of the local bowling association.
Lee is survived by His wife, Phyllis of Salisbury, Two Sons, William Davis and his wife Carol of Snow Hill, Michael Davis and his wife Dawn of FL; a daughter, Debra Davis of Salisbury; Four Granddaughters, Catana Lambertson, Sierra Davis, Tabatha Miller, Danielle Kennell; Eight Grandsons, John "Wes" Johnson, Blake Johnson, Travis Davis, Alex Davis, John Mansfield, Richard Mansfield, William Chandler, Christian Chandler; 13 great grandchildren, one Sister, Ruth Perdue and her husband Oren of Salisbury; one Brother, Bill Davis and his wife Linda of Salisbury as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by a Daughter, Diana Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. A visitation with the family will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.
